Success and Recognition

What does being recognized as the best hotel in Bulgaria for 2024 mean to you and your team?

We, at Voya Beach Resort, are incredibly proud to be named the best hotel in Bulgaria for 2024. This recognition is a testament to our hard work and dedication. We extend our gratitude to our guests for their trust and the high ratings they have given us.

What key factors do you believe set Voya Beach Resort apart from over 1,000 hotels in the country?

The greatest asset of any hotel is its team and management approach. This is what sets Voya Beach Resort apart. We operate as a family, discussing everything to benefit the guest. The owners play a crucial role, being part of every conversation and detail. Their support inspires creativity and confidence in implementing our ideas.

How do you measure success—is it solely based on guest reviews or are there other indicators?

Guest reviews are undoubtedly a mirror reflecting a hotel’s success. However, I would add equally important indicators: a cohesive team, sustainability, and financial stability.

What do you think guests find most unique and appealing about their experience at your hotel?

Quality and attention to detail. From the very beginning of construction, we aimed to create unique spaces and products in the market. This attention to detail extends to our food, which meets world-class standards in variety, presentation, and taste. Our service ensures every guest feels special, and every child dreams of returning. From beverages made with top global brands to exceptional cleanliness, every aspect is designed to provide comfort and satisfaction.

Management and Strategy

What are the main challenges in managing a seasonal hotel, particularly with an ultra all-inclusive concept?

The biggest challenge for seasonal hotels is finding and training quality staff for five-star service within a short period. I am proud that our team excels and produces outstanding professionals every year. Another challenge is the infrastructure and lack of flights. We strive to extend the season annually but face issues like planned local repairs in April and May.

What is your strategy for maintaining high service standards throughout the season?

During the off-peak season, we rely on experienced, long-term staff to ensure excellent service. As the high season begins, we bring in young students and trainees, passing on knowledge and balancing the workload with fresh energy to maintain our high standards.

How do you motivate and retain your staff, especially given the seasonal nature of the work?

Through leadership, respect, and development opportunities. The managerial team sets a positive example. We invest in employee growth, reward dedication, and ensure that those seeking career advancement have our full support.

What role do innovations and technology play in your daily operations and guest service?

Technological advancements simplify many processes. While we adopt modern software and equipment, we remain cautious about fully automating guest services. A five-star experience is synonymous with personal contact and special attention.

How are you preparing for the next season? What changes and improvements are planned?

Preparations for the 2025 season began with the opening of the 2024 season. We’ve identified areas for growth and launched new projects shortly after closing the 2024 season. Our principle is to introduce significant improvements annually, appreciated by our many returning guests. This year, we’re adding an adults-only pool, expanding our children’s center to operate all day, and introducing two new snack restaurant zones:

  • Gelato by Voya: Our own gelato brand, exclusively available at the hotel.
  • Barista on Ice: A new corner for cold barista-style coffee.

Guests and Feedback

What are the most common guest reviews, and how do they help you improve your services?

The majority of our reviews are positive, providing us with satisfaction and motivation. Constructive criticism is also invaluable, highlighting areas for improvement. Every review is read and analyzed, as feedback is essential to our growth.

Do you have an example of unique guest feedback or an experience that inspired your team?

Every review is significant. Knowing that a family had an unforgettable vacation or that a child returned home happy keeps us inspired and committed to our work.

How do you balance the expectations of different types of guests—families, couples, and international tourists?

We offer diverse experiences, spaces, and dining options to cater to various guests. Our restaurants range from fine dining to family-friendly options with high-quality baby food and milk formulas. With 24-hour food and beverage services and a new adults-only pool, we ensure every guest finds something tailored to their needs.

Seasonality

What challenges do you face in maintaining consistent availability of high-quality products and services throughout the season?

Before each season, our Executive Chef Emil Dokovski and his team carefully select products that meet our high standards. We work closely with suppliers to ensure consistent deliveries, prioritizing local products while incorporating global brands to accommodate specific dietary needs.

What measures do you take to ensure the same level of quality at the start and end of the season as during peak months?

We do not differentiate between high and low seasons. From day one, all facilities and services are fully operational. Many guests prefer visiting during off-peak times for competitive prices without compromising quality. Off-peak periods also allow us to focus on training and preparation in April and May and well-deserved rest in September and October.

Voya Beach Resort as a Destination

How does Voya Beach Resort fit into the overall tourism profile of Sveti Vlas?

Sveti Vlas is evolving as a destination. With Voya Beach Resort, Premier Fort Beach, the marina, and other premium offerings, Sveti Vlas is increasingly positioned as a luxury family destination.

What unique activities and offerings distinguish the hotel from the competition?

Guests can relax without any concerns during their stay. We provide live music and professional shows for children and adults daily. Our guests can also enjoy a refined 24-hour lobby bar and day-long entertainment.

How do you collaborate with the local community and businesses to create a memorable experience for tourists?

We believe in joint efforts between local authorities and investors to continue developing Sveti Vlas and Bulgaria as a whole. Cooperation between municipalities and the state is essential for promoting the country and the Black Sea coast as prime destinations for European and international tourists.

Future Plans

What are your plans for the hotel’s development in the coming years?

We constantly monitor global trends in luxury Ultra All-Inclusive tourism, a growing segment in the premium market. Tourist expectations have evolved, demanding a truly premium experience. To stay ahead, we’ve adopted a tradition of visiting global leaders in the field. Last year, we explored Ikos Olivia; next year, we might focus on Maxx Royal Belek. Sometimes, inspiration comes from personal visits to hotels both in Bulgaria and abroad.

Are there new trends in the hospitality industry that you plan to implement at Voya Beach Resort?

Five-star tourism increasingly emphasizes personalized attention and fine-tuned details. We aim to innovate in this direction, constantly introducing fresh ideas to enhance our guests’ experiences.

What would you like people to know about Voya Beach Resort that often goes unnoticed?

Everyone finds their unique perspective on Voya Beach Resort and what they love most about their stay. We have learned to listen to our guests and continuously improve the services they value. Nothing goes unnoticed—our guests see the love and thought we put into ensuring their ultimate experience.
